Barbara L. Fleener



Our Mom peacefully went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on Tuesday, November 20, 2007. She was 79.



A celebration of her life will be at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 25, 2007 at Medford Friends Church, 525 DeBarr Ave, Medford. Pastor Mark Burton will officiate.



Barbara was born August 7, 1928 in Seattle, Wash., the daughter of Adolph B. Spreckels III and Esm Sybil Jones. On September 6, 1952, Barbara married Loren G. Fleener in Seattle at University Lutheran Church.



Mrs. Fleener was a homemaker. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1991 from Bellevue, Wash. She was a member of Medford Elks, Rogue Elks RV Club, Central Point Lions Club, Garden Club, Sewing Club, Bowling League, and Bridge Club, and Medford Friends Church.



She enjoyed traveling, sewing, knitting and playing cards, but most of all, she loved being with her family and friends.



She is survived by three daughters, Judi Griffith, of Medford, Ore., Paula Lynch, of Central Point, Ore., and Lisa (Bill) Grey, of Snohomish, Wash.; one son, Jeff Fleener, of Kittitas, Wash.; one brother, Charles B. Dodge, of Bellevue, Wash.; and one sister, Gretchen Ceteras, of Rumsey, Calif. She was preceded in death by her husband, Loren; sister, Delilah Jakobsen; and her parents.



She is also survived by five grandchildren, Tori, Summer, Brandon, Shane and Hannah; three great-grandchildren, Matthew, Tyler, and Shyne. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
