Ronald Gilford Marion



Ron accepted an invitation to have Thanksgiving with the Lord. He left us on Thursday, November 22, 2007, while visiting from Arizona. He was surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with cancer.



Ron was born in West Palm Beach, Florida to Harlan and Anna Marion, who preceded him in death, along with three brothers, Franklin, Melvin, and Lewis Marion. He moved to the Rogue Valley in 1967. He has been a general manager of various businesses, a truck driver and a minister of the Gospel.



He married Karen Hobbs in Prescott, Arizona on January 19, 2007. Along with his wife, he is survivied by five children; three sons, Ronald, Jerry, and Farren Marion, and daughter, Cara Deguzman, all of Washington State daughter, Tina Swenson of California; five grandchildren; five step-children; and eight step-grandchildren. He is survived by one brother, Wilford Marion of Palm City, Fla.; and eight sisters, Jo Householder of Eagle Point, Joyce Grimes of Elberton, Ga., Amanda Keaton of Tenn., Linda Berryessa of Rocky Point, Ore., Dorothy Crockett of Central Point, Alma Ruth of White City, Gail Culbertson of Dallas, Ore., and Leverne Preston of Medford. In addition he is survived by 130 nieces, nephews, great- nieces and nephews.



Memory Gardens Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. There will be a viewing on Wednesday, November 28, 2007 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Interment will be in the Eagle Point National Cemetery.
