The memorial service for E. Louise Sherman, will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, at Avamere at Waterford, 760 Spring Street, Medford. Mrs. Sherman, 91, of Medford, died Tuesday, November 27, 2007, at a Talent Foster Home.
She was born December 26, 1915 in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of Mae and Harry Floyd. She was raised in Vista, Calif., and attended Junior College in Oceanside, Calif. On December 25, 1936, in Vista, Calif., she married Raymond Sherman, who preceded her in death in 1989.
Mrs. and Mrs. Sherman lived in Oceanside, Calif., from 1936 to 1954, when they moved to Vista, Calif. In 1976, they moved to Mountain Meadows, Calif., where she designed the home that they lived in till 1991. In 1996, Mrs. Sherman moved to Medford.
Mrs. Sherman was a talented seamstress who sewed her own clothing and worked as a bookkeeper for Sherman's Interiors, a decorating business owned by her and her husband.
Surviving are two sons, Donald Sherman of Christchurch, New Zealand and Richard Sherman of Ashland; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Wilma Gordon.
