Eliouise Yates Logan



Eliouise Yates Logan, 81, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2007, at Grace Presbyterian Village in Dallas, Ore., formally a resident of Legend OaksLlano, Llano, Texas. Ms. Yates was born on June 27, 1926, in Harrisburg, Ill., to the late Herbert and Madeline (Jarrell) Yates. Services were held Friday, December, 14, 2007, at David Clayton and Sons Funeral Home, of Duncanville, Texas, with Pastor, Tom Tickner, of Grace Presbyterian Village presiding. Interment followed at Little Bethel Memorial Park in Duncanville, Texas.



Eliouise and husband, Gordan, moved to the Rogue Valley in 1953, and resided in the Dark Hollow area, raising six children and, at times, 40,000 chickens. She was a homemaker, Avon sales representative, and a past member of the Central Point Fraternal Order of the Eagles and Beta Sigma Phi. She attended the Talent Friends Church, as well as the Missionary Baptist Church.



Eliouise was preceded in death by her parents; son, Gary Logan; daughter, Wanda Ooton; brother, Andrew J. Yates; and two husbands.



She is survived by six daughters; five sons-in-law, Marlene and Henry Martinez, Delores and Chuck Hazelwood, Aleta and Bill Barlett, Marilyn and Jim Merrill, Carol Logan, Jeanice and Randy Faulkner; one son, Kenneth Logan; 37 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters, Twanette Presley and Jerri Rupe; and one brother, Darrell Duke.
