Richard "Dick" Foy married Peggie Pearson on Nov. 29, 1957, in Grants Pass.

Dick and Peggie met when Peggie was a fire lookout on Chimney Rock, west of Medford, and Dick was a pilot, who periodically saw her from the air.

One day he landed to see if she was a young lady or an old lady. Four months later they were married.

The Foys have lived in Medford, Portland, Chico, Calif., and Anderson, Calif., as well as Southern California for a short while.

Peggie currently enjoys painting and photography and Dick retired as president and CEO of Erickson Air Crane, Inc., about eight years ago. He is currently a partner in Perideo LLC and works as a consultant in the air industry.

The Foys have four children, Lynne Couche of Castro Valley, Calif., Eric Foy of Medford, Laura Willman of Chico, Calif., and Lisa Hall of Adelaide, Australia. They also have 14 grandchildren.
