Christmas is done (we're on to Boxing Day and Kwanzaa starting today, if you're keeping track), but the kids remain home from school this week and next. What to do? Here are a few possibilities:

— Ice skating takes place today in Medford and in Ashland. In Medford, a public session at The RRRink is set from 1:30 to 3 p.m. In Ashland, public skating is from 8 to 9:30 a.m. (a freebie), 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., 2 to 5 p.m. and 5:30 to 9 p.m.

— You can go 'round in circles on a roller rink, too. Roller Odyssey at 2425 S. Pacific Highway is open for several sessions today, including a budget skate at 4 p.m., when admission is $1 and skate rental goes for $2 to $3.

— For pure energy release, Kids Imagination Discovery Space is open all day. The play space at 224 N. Ross Lane in Medford has active play centers aimed at the younger set. Admission is $5 for kids, $2 for adults.
