Not long at all, guys. Mark your calendar for New Year's Eve of 2009.

And in 2010 the full moon for December will occur on the 21st, which is the winter solstice that year. In fact, we're on a run in which 2008 is the only time in four years that the moon is not full on a special date.

Wait. What are we saying? In 2008, there's a full moon on Dec. 12, the anniversary of the adoption of the new Russian constitution in 1993! What were we thinking?
