Rudella Corinne Anderson



Rudella Corinne Anderson, 99, of Medford, passed away on January 16, 2008, in Medford. She was born in Belgrade, Minn., on December 18, 1908.



On September 15, 1932 in Minneapolis, Minn., she married Ray C. Anderson who preceded her in death. At the time they married they both worked for the President of Pillsbury Mills. While living in Minnesota they had four children. When her children became school age, she began teaching in a one-room schoolhouse. Half of the population of the school were her children.



In 1948 they moved to Medford, Oregon. At age 50, she returned to college and earned her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Southern Oregon College. She taught for 11 years at Sams Valley Elementary School.



She belonged to the Central Point Grange, Central Point Garden Club and Central Point Presbyterian Church. She held offices in these organizations and was in charge of many rummage sales. Her hobbies included gardening, reading, painting, camping, and playing bridge. She enjoyed traveling and especially annual trips to the Oregon Coast.



A daughter, Marion Peterson of Klamath Falls, son Willard Anderson of Medford, and twins, Jerry Anderson of Eagle Point and Ron Anderson of Delavan, Wisconsin, survive her. She had 5 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and

6 great-great-grandchildren.



A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 26, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. at the Central Point Presbyterian Church.
