"One Horse Shy is very good at what they do — playing fun, high-energy country tunes ..." says Mark Lore of the Chico News & Review, an alternative weekly.

The roots-rock band formed about a year ago in Ashland. With musical influences such as Gillian Welch and James McMurtry and the addition of drummer Bryan Helfrich and dobro and lap steel player Bob Evoniuk, One Horse Shy is rolling in new directions. The group tours the Northwest and has a debut album slated for release.

The event at Standing Stone celebrates the 35th anniversary of Oregon's Roe vs. Wade decision. Donations to Planned Parenthood will be accepted at the concert. Call 770-3331 or 482-2448.
