Rogue Valley's late rally was derailed Saturday at The RRRink as the Wranglers put together a two-goal third period, but fell to Puget Sound, 3-2.

The Wranglers (2-37 NORPAC) hung with Puget Sound because the solid in-goal defense from goalie Nick Cafrelli, who stopped 48 of 51 shots.

David Giguere and Jake Crumb each scored goals inside the 17-minute mark for the Wranglers.

Giguere's came on a set-up from Clayton Lewis, then 44 second later, Crumb found the net on a powerplay.

Vincent Scott collected 43 saves for Puget Sound (13-26 NORPAC).

The two teams conclude their three-game series today.
