Ashland resident John Fisher-Smith talks at Ashland's library tonight on his thoughts on place and value.

The talk begins at 7 p.m. at the library, 410 Siskiyou Blvd. It's free and part of the Author Night series sponsored by Friends of the Ashland Library.

Fisher-Smith recently published two chapbooks, "Reflections" and "Opening My Eyes," incorporating a number of pieces he has written as commentaries for the Jefferson Public Radio and the Jefferson Daily news magazine.
