Snow will taper off in the Rogue Valley this morning, but expect only a brief pause in the weather before another storm hits tonight.

The National Weather Service is predicting snow or rain showers during the day today in Medford, then more snow tonight. Any accumulation should amount to less than an inch today in Medford and possibly about an inch tonight, forecasters say.

Accumulations from Sunday’s storms vary widely across the valley. Less than 1 inch was reported at the Medford airport, about 2 inches fell in downtown Medford and as much as 10 inches was on the ground in Ashland.

Snow remains in the Rogue Valley forecast through at least Thursday.

We’ll have more details later this morning.
