Gary Hull, who averages 173, bowled a 279 at Lava Lanes in the Monday Nite Strikers League on Feb. 4.
With an average of 145, Jason Flinn broke out for a 269-game in the Generation X Juniors Scratch League on Thursday, Jan. 31.
The South Medford and Crater cheerleading squads each had fifth-place finishes in the Oregon State High School Cheer Championships in Portland at Memorial Coliseum on Feb. 9.
South Medford nabbed its finish in the coed division, while Crater made its mark in the Class 5A small division.
Stan Gordon posted his first-career hole-in-one and the first of the year Stone Ridge Golf Course. He connected from 145 yards out on the 12th hole with a 6-iron.
The shot was witnessed by playing partners Steve Kummer, Paul Foster and Colin Byrne.
Hannah Buell and Jessica Hill will represent the Southern Oregon Gymnastics Academy at the state championship meet on April 5-6 after impressive performances in the Hard Rock Invitational over the weekend in Phoenix, Ariz.
Buell won the floor competition with a mark of 9.475, while Hill scored 9.3 to earn first place on the balance beam. Each took part in the Level 8 Junior Division, in which there were 26 competitors.
There were 1,500 gymnasts at the event. SOGA placed third as a team.
