Arlene Della Stricker

A beautiful candlelight burned out in the early afternoon of February 14, 2008; and as a delicate wisp of smoke rose to the heavens, it did not go unnoticed that it was St.Valentine's Day, when Arlene Della Stricker 75, passed on.

Arlene joined loved ones who went before her, James Melvin Stricker, her husband of 52 years; her first born son, Jerry Marvin Stricker; her father; mother; two brothers; and one sister.

As we all celebrated this holiday of love, she left the ones that she loved and those who loved her. She is loved in Roseburg, Ore. by her surviving sister, Juanita Loomis and husband, Glen Loomis. She is loved in Watsonville, Calif. by her son, Jon Stricker, his wife, Aurora and children, Monica and Jessica. She is loved in Talent, Ore. by her son, Jason Stricker and his wife, Darby and their children, Sophie and Jack. She is loved in Grants Pass, Ore. by her grandson, Jed Stricker, his wife, Kelly and baby son, Griffin. We are all deeply saddened by the loss of our beloved Sister, Mother, Oma, Great Grandmother and Valentine, but we are profoundly touched that her passing came on this most beautiful holiday that celebrates a core truth in life. LOVE.

We will have a private family service for her. Contributions can be presented to Camelot Theater, in her name. It was in her words "my one and only vice."
