Ballots go out in Jackson County today — no, still not in the presidential race (that doesn't happen in Oregon until May), but for several local measures.

Voters must turn in ballots by March 11. They can go in the mail or be left at an elections division drop box at 1101 W. Main St., Suite 201, Medford.

The ballot includes several measures: two relating to whether the city of Phoenix should be annexed into Jackson County Fire District 5; and one that would liquidate the Kings Highway Water District and have customers be served by the city of Medford.
