The Raiders (26-4, 17-3 Cascade) tied Eastern Oregon for the conference championship but lost the tie breaker for the NAIA's automatic bid to the national tournament. Southern Oregon will host Northwest Christian in the conference playoffs Tuesday.

The Raiders jumped out to a 40-21 halftime lead against Concordia.

The Cavaliers cut the Raiders' margin to 56-51 with 7:08 remaining. Then Southern Oregon outscored Concordia 18-2 the rest of the way.

Jacki Speer posted a double-double for the Raiders with 11 points and 10 rebounds, while Whitney Scott chipped in 10 points.

For Concordia, Danielle Clauson scored 16 points and Denise Benedict added 15.

SOUTHERN OREGON 65, CONCORDIA 64 — At Ashland, Kory Mahr blocked a potential game-winning shot for Southern Oregon University, which nearly blew a nine-point fourth-quarter lead to Concordia University at McNeal Pavilion.

The Raiders' Nate Rooney was 4 for 5 from the 3-point arc and had a game-high 18 points to go with seven rebounds.

Matt Cowell pitched in 15 points and was 5-for-6 shooting from the foul line for SOU (10-20, 6-14 Cascade Collegiate Conference), which claimed its second-straight victory. Mahr had 10 rebounds, six points and three blocked shots in-all.

Concordia was led by Cody Aker's 15 points.
