Kathryn Irlee Nilles of Phoenix died January 16 of cancer. She was 61.
She was born October 22, 1946, in Hood River, Ore., to William Webster and Gladys Marie Blagg Foss. She graduated from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, where she majored in music education. She moved to Southern Oregon to teach elementary music in the Ashland School District and later devoted her life to raising her children. She loved singing, sunshine and reading.
Survivors include daughter, Nancy Nilles; son-in-law, Aaron Corvin; son, David; daughter-in-law, Stacey Nilles; a granddaughter, Elizabeth; and a grandson, Benjamin, born Jan. 21.
A memorial service will be held at — p.m. March 8 at Medford First Christian Church. Arrangements by Conger-Morris. Inurnment will be at Eidlewild Cemetery in Hood River. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
