11:05 a.m. update: All tickets for the Medford event have been distributed, according to a notice on the Obama campaign Web site.

Barack Obama’s campaign has begun distributing the free tickets for Saturday’s town hall meeting at Kids Unlimited in Medford.

People who want to attend the event featuring the Democratic presidential hopeful can sign up for them via e-mail at http://my.barackobama.com/page/s/medford. Tickets are not available at Kids Unlimited, noted executive director Tom Cole, who said people had been coming to the center this morning looking for them.

The gathering begins at 9:30 a.m. in the gymnasium at Kids Unlimited, 821 N. Riverside Ave. The room can hold about 1,500 people.

People who sign up for tickets via the Internet link will be on a list OK’d for entry to the event, said Priya Singh of the Obama for America communications office.

She also said the link will be eliminated from the site when all of the tickets have been distributed.

The candidate plans stops in Portland, Salem and Eugene before coming to Medford. Tickets for the Portland and Salem appearances went quickly.
