Lily Luella Love



Lily Luella Love passed away on March 11, 2008 at the age of 83.



Lily was born in Ada, Minn., on August 26, 1924 to Henry Herbranson and Ella Nelson. Lily moved to Long Beach, Calif. during WWII, where she was proud to have been employed as a "Rosie the Riveter" at Douglas Aircraft in Santa Monica, Calif.



During this time she met James D. Love, who was serving in the US Coast Guard. They married in Yuma, Ariz. on March 9, 1946, and moved to Portland, Ore., where Jim began a lifelong career with Pacific NW Bell Telephone Co., and Lily worked for Bridgeman Bros. Packing Co.. While in Portland, their — children, John, Ron, and Sue, were born.



In 1961, the family moved to Bend, Ore., where Lily worked for North Pacific Products, and later for Western Union.



In 1968, the family moved to Medford, Ore., and upon Jim's retirement, he and Lily moved to Trail, Ore., where they have a home on the Rogue River.



Lily loved the outdoors, camping, gardening, traveling, knitting, and needlepoint. She loved life. She loved laughter. She loved her family.



Lily is survived by her husband of 62 years, Jim Love; her sister Audrey Paschall of Palos Verdes, Calif.; her children, John D. Love of Eagle Point, Ore.; Ron Love of Talent, Ore.; and Sue Korth of Eagle Point, Ore.; her grandchildren, Lisa Small, Cindy Hanks, John M. Love, Jaime LaRance, and Bill Love; her great grandchildren, Shawn Long, Taylor Hanks, Bailey Hanks, Ricky LaRance, Riley LaRance, Benjamin Small,

Peyton Small, and Madison Love.



Lily was preceeded in death by her brothers, Clarence and Herbert, and sisters, Cora and Lottie. Lily was laid to rest at Eagle Point National Cemetery on March 21, with her family present.



She will be remembered and greatly missed by all of us who loved her.
