Police and planners of campaign visits won't tip their hands on streets to avoid when politicians with buses and motorcades are in town, but the Medford Water Commission is happy to tell drivers where its crews are working.

The commission suggests avoiding the area bounded by Riverside Avenue and Bartlett, Jackson and Sixth street, where crews will have to close lanes at multiple points while they work from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. today. Flaggers will be in place as needed, but motorists should expect delays and seek alternate routes if possible.

Weather conditions or equipment failures may delay the scheduled work.
