Helen Herzog died at her home on April 22, 2008. She had over 97 years to grace this world with her wisdom and goodness.
Helen was born January 4, 1911, in Mclead, Alberta, Canada. In 1931, she graduated from nursing school and later earned degrees as a lab and x-ray technician. She married Walter Herzog in 1937. Together they had a dairy farm and she soon became the resident, self-taught carpenter of the family with barns and a house to her credit. They had celebrated 67 years of marriage at the time of Walter's death in 2004.
Helen led by example. She never held a grudge and was always the first to forgive. Today she celebrates with Jesus, Our Father, and the Holy Spirit who guided her safely home.
