Shakespeare slips into Medford tonight during Rogue Opera's performance of "The Merry Wives of Windsor."

The show begins at 8 p.m. at the Music Recital Hall at Southern Oregon University, 1250 Siskiyou Blvd., Ashland. Another follows at 3 p.m. Sunday, and more are set the following weekend. Tickets go for $22-$36 for adults, depending on the location.

The performances celebrate the 32nd anniversary of the Rogue Valley opera company.

Otto Nicolai adapted the Shakespearean play, the story of Falstaff’s misadventures with two married women. The wives are merry because of the pranks they get to pull on their oversized wooer.
Rogue Opera will use the San Francisco Pocket Opera’s English translation.
