Seven piano students and their instructor Alexander Tutunov, perform tonight in a benefit for the Chinese-American International Piano Institute.

It begins at 8 p.m. at The Old Siskiyou Barn in Ashland. Tickets go for $20, $15 for students.

Performing in the recital will be Kristen McCaffrey, Kimberley Levy, David Brown, Daniel Swayze, Kimberley Wood, Elizabeth Moss and Joseph Yungen. The program will include the music of Debussy, Rachmaninoff, Liszt, Beethoven, Bach, Chopin, Ravel and Scriabin.

Proceeds from this event will benefit the piano institute, an organization founded by Tutunov. It gathers together young pianists from China, North America and other nations and piano professors from the United States and China. This annual event takes place at the Sichuan Conservatory in Chengdu, China.
