Children 4 and older and their parents can explore Ashland's Lithia Park for native plants and flowers this morning.

The event, from 10 a.m. to noon, will include a botanical treasure hunt, and everyone will plant native seeds in eggshell planters to take home. It's organized by the Northwest Nature Shop.

Participants should meet at the shop, 154 Oak St. Cost is $5 and includes an adult and two children.
