Frank and Carmen Hernandez of Medford celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary April 4 with a dinner at a restaurant in Monterey, Calif., where they had spent their honeymoon 60 years ago.

Frank Hernandez married Carmen De La Rosa on April 4, 1948, in San Francisco.

They met at a dance in San Francisco after Frank's discharge from the Army after World War II. They are still ballroom dancers.

Frank owned a woodworking remodeling business in the Bay Area. He retired in 1985, and they moved to Rogue River to be close to their daughter. They have been living in Medford for the last two years.

Frank and Carmen have six children, Victoria Lopes of San Diego, Christine Valladao of Medford, Sylvia Nickell of San Antonio, Texas, Dan Hernandez of Medford, Stephen Hernandez of Glendale, Ariz., and Mark Hernandez of Portland. They also have nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
