Women have struggled for years to find technical fishing gear that fits them correctly. Not anymore. Simms, out of Bozeman, Mont., is the latest company to launch a line of female-friendly fishing gear. The line, launched last month, includes two technical fishing shirts, fishing pants, a women's rain jacket and breathable stockingfoot waders available in 18 sizes made to fit women.

The Women's Gore-Tex stockingfoot waders ($329.95), pictured at right, come with 3-layer Gore-Tex Performance Shell fabric technology reinforced in the front leg panels for increased durability, and built-in gravel guards. The Women's Gore-Tex Softshell Jacket ($379.95) has a soft flannel lining, flannel-lined pockets and a hood that can be stored in the stow-away collar. Two technical fishing shirts are found in the new women's line, the Cottonwood ($59.95) shirt and the Tributary ($69.95). Both have contoured shaping for a comfortable, relaxed fit and both can be worn about town before or after a day of fishing without compromising fashion (www.simmsfishing.com).
