Southern Oregon University had six track and field competitors earn Cascade Collegiate Conference all-academic honors.

Katelyn Alley, Breanne Cochran, Samantha McDonald, Joseph Rath, Ixel Sanchez and Alexander Waroff each were chosen for the honor.

Former North Medford High track standout Danielle Jordan, a senior at Corban College, and Crater High graduates and current Oregon Tech competitors Jenni Bittle (softball) and Samuel Jacobson (track and field) were also selected.

To earn the recognition as a CCC scholar athlete, students had to have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5, a sophomore standing and participate in at least 50 percent of his or her team's contests.

The Rogue Warriors football team will host the Eugene Outlaws on Saturday at Phoenix High School.

The Outlaws, winners of the last two Oregon Football League titles, enter the contest at 7-0, while the Warriors, who own five OFL championships, are 5-2.

Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.

Centennial Golf Club will have a demonstration day for Titleist and Cobra clubs on Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the driving range.

Company representatives will be on hand and clubs will be provided for players to try out and purchase.
