Assault — Christopher Timothy Cooper, 22, of the 8100 block of W. Evans Creek Road, Rogue River. Cooper appeared Thursday in Jackson County Circuit Court on an indictment charging him with fourth-degree felony assault, fourth-degree assault and harassment. He was booked into the Jackson County Jail and released on his own recognizance. Theft — Jorge Alejand Malfabon-Padilla, 26, of the 1200 block of Bens Lane, Medford. Malfabon-Padilla appeared Thursday in Jackson County Circuit Court on an indictment charging him with first-degree theft and writing a bad check. He was booked into jail and released on his own recognizance. Drugs — Michael James Kinler, 30, of the 400 block of N. Columbus Ave., Medford. Kinler appeared Thursday in Jackson County Circuit Court on an indictment charging him with possession of methamphetamine. He was booked into jail and released on his own recognizance. Criminal mischief — Joshua Alexander Deivert, 23, of the 200 block of N.W. Evelyn Ave., Grants Pass. Deivert appeared Thursday in Jackson County Circuit Court on an indictment charging him with first-degree criminal mischief and second-degree criminal mischief. He was booked in jail and released on his own recognizance. Theft — Maegan Dee Anne McCleary, 22, of an unknown address. Medford police Thursday arrested McCleary on charges of first-degree theft and second-degree theft. She was lodged in jail, where she remained late Thursday in lieu of $15,000 bail. Resisting arrest — Gonzalo Duran-Chaparro, 18, of the 1400 block of Prune St., Medford. Medford police Thursday arrested Duran-Chaparro on charges of resisting arrest, interfering with a police officer, harassment and second-degree disorderly conduct. He was lodged on jail and released on bail. Drugs — Esteban Martinez-Manjares, 22, of the 100 Peggy Lane, Talent. Medford police Thursday arrested Martinez-Manjares on charges of possession of cocaine and distribution of cocaine. He was lodged in jail, where he remained late Thursday in lieu of $15,000 bail.

Crime reports

Theft — 1200 block of Mira Mar Ave., Medford. Medford police Thursday took a report in which a wedding ring, valued between $6,000 and $12,000, was stolen. Burglary — 3700 block of Falcon St., White City. Jackson County sheriff's deputies took a report Thursday of a burglary in which an unknown amount of property was taken.
