Summers is a former prison guard. The fact that very few things are funny about prison life led Summers to performing stand-up at open mic sessions in nightclubs and coffee shops in San Francisco. After retiring from his line of work, he has been on the road as a comedian.

A new nightclub housed in the space above the old Hubbard's Hardware Store, Oxygen offers a menu and a full bar.

Duane Goad and Key Lewis will perform at 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Chadwick's Pub, 2300 Biddle Road, Medford.

Goad, a Seattle-based comic, has performed at clubs from coast to coast since he won astand-up contest at an Improv Comedy Club. His "schtick" includes takes on married life and fatherhood.
