Graveside services for Margaret Hansen will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at 10 a.m. at the Brownsboro Cemetery.
Mrs. Hansen, 88, of Brownsboro, Ore., died June 20, 2008 at the home of her daughter after a 2 year battle with Alzheimers.
Margaret was born June 12, 1920 at the Lake Creek ranch of her pioneer parents, John and Marie Newstrom Walch. She attended Lost Creek School.
On September 11, 1940 in Reno, Nev., she married Gerald (Jerry) Hansen. They lived in Brownsboro all their married life.
She was a long-time member of the Lake Creek Grange.
She is survived by her daughter, Jerilyn (Ron) Watson; grandson, Lynn (Kerry); great-grandchildren, Josh, Lea and Conner, all of Brownsboro; stepgrandsons, Daryl (Laura), and Kenny Watson of Yreka, Calif., Gary (Marcy) Watson of Montague, Calif.; great-grandson, Ronnie Watson of Yreka; great-granddaughters, Kayla and Carrie Watson; and great-great-grandson, Clayton, all of Montague; sisters, Shirley Stone of Lake Creek, Betty (Herb) Payne of Eagle Point; brother, Lloyd (Margaret) Walch of Central Point; and sister-in-law, Millie Walch of Ashland.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Hansen; parents, John and Marie Walch; infant sister, Katherine; and brother, John Walch Jr., who died May 24. Arrangements by Rogue Valley Funeral Alternatives, 770-6505.
