Swimming

Breanna Sapienza took first place in eight out of nine events for the Triton Swim Team and was the high-point winner at the Mike Morris Invitational in Eugene last weekend.

Sapienza, of Medford, set personal-best times in the 11-12 age division in the 100 backstroke, 50 backstroke and 200 individual medley.

Also for Triton, Central Point's Aaron Ghiglieri was the fastest finisher in the 13-14 age group in the 200 back and 100 freestyle. Clark Snyder of Medford placed first in the 100 free and tied for first in the 50 free with a time of 26.09.

Grants Pass' Shan Lansing won the 100 free in the 13-14 age category, and Sami Case of Medford claimed the 100 breaststroke title for her age group.
