Watch the ponies gallop along starting today at the Jackson County Exposition Park in Central Point.

The Oregon Summer Classic, a quarter-horse show featuring about 1,000 competitors, is set all day at the fairgrounds at 1 Peninger Road, Central Point. You can watch for free.

Classes to test the horses’ abilities and events such as jumping, reining, barrel racing and roping will be presented, along with halter classes. Horses and exhibitors compete for points that earn awards or cash and to qualify for world championship shows.
