John Bruce Hatton



John Bruce Hatton, 92, passed away on June 27, 2008 in Medford, Ore. He was born on February 17, 1916 in Taylor Rapids, Wisc. to parents, John William Hatton and Lousetti Taulbee Hatton.



He married Ruth Hatton on April 14, 1963 in Carson City, Nev. He served as a Merchant Marine in the Pacific from 1942-1945. After the war, he worked as a truck driver for Bekins Van Lines for 30 years as a Teamster in Oakland, Calif.



He loved his family, music and reading. In his younger days he enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and camping. He enjoyed living in the Grass Valley, Calif. area for 32, and the Medford area for — years.



He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Ruth Hatton; his children, Bob, Verna, Sandy, Sherry, Bruce, Ralph David, Debbie, Jim, Barbara & Ray; his brother, Bobby; sister, Edna Griffin; 30 grandchildren and 54 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Bill, Red, George, James, Carl, Tom and Everett; sister, Pearl; son, Ralph Hatton and his grandchildren, Rachel, Aaron and Michelle.



A celebration of John's life and devotion to Christ will be held on Monday, June 30, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Perl Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Eagle Point National Cemetery. The Viewing will be Monday, June 30 at 9:00 a.m. at Perl Funeral Home.
