Mary "Neva" Flood



A graveside service for Neva Flood will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 1, 2008, at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Mrs. Flood, 85, of Medford, died Friday, June 27, 2008, at Hearthstone Nursing Facility.



She was born on December 3, 1922, in Broken Bow, Okla. On August 29, 1942, in Idabel, Okla., she married Vic Flood.



They moved to Medford, Ore., in 1948, from Broken Bow, Okla. She worked as an accountant for the Big Y Shopping Center and as an operations manager for the Medford branch of Crater Bank and Western Bank. She was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary. She volunteered as a precinct worker during national and local elections. She enjoyed accompanying her husband when he played guitar for the Old Time Fiddlers gatherings, working crossword puzzles, watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune on TV.



Survivors include her son, Dan Flood, of Central Point, Ore.; two sisters, Louise and Faye, both of Portland, Ore.; brother, David, of Lincoln City, Ore.; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.



She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Vic Flood; her daughter, Linda Scruggs; and her brother, Jesse.
