It's a bad, bad, bad, bad world tonight when the Bad Film Society organizes a summer beach party and screening of the 1965 film, "The Beach Girls and the Monster."

The fun begins at 6 p.m. at the Ashland Elks Lodge on East Main Street. Admission is $3.

Highlights of the film include a monster covered in seaweed killing bikini-clad surf babes, dance numbers by the Watusi Girls, a soundtrack composed by Frank Sinatra Jr. and lots of bongos. Daffy and unusual short films also will be presented, along with the 10th episode of "The Lost Planet."

Bring old videos to give away as door prizes and some yummy summer treats if you would like to share the potluck dinner.
