Drugs — Richard Eugene Morey, 46, of an unknown address in Grants Pass. Morey, who already was in Jackson County Jail for a parole violation, was charged late Saturday with possession of methamphetamine. He remains lodged in jail. Assault — Wade Allen Godat, 50, of the 400 block of Earhart St., Medford. Medford police arrested Godat late Saturday on charges of fourth-degree felony assault, fourth-degree assault and harassment. He was lodged in Jackson County Jail on $12,000 bail. Attempt to elude — Benjamin Matthew Powell, of the 800 block of Beekman Ave., Medford. Medford police arrested Powell late Saturday on charges of attempt to elude in a vehicle, attempt to elude on foot, reckless driving and parole violation. He was lodged in Jackson County Jail on $16,000 bail. Interfering with a police officer — William St. Maurice Orlow, of an unknown address. Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Orlow early Sunday on charges of interfering with a police officer, attempt to elude on foot, harassment, driving while suspended, driving under the influence of alcohol and a parole violation. He was lodged in Jackson County Jail without bail. Burglary — Timothy Tod Lowe, 45, of Likely, Calif. Jackson County sheriff's deputies arrested Lowe early Sunday on charges of first-degree burglary, resisting arrest, two counts of second-degree disorderly conduct, driving while suspended and a contempt violation. He was lodged in Jackson County Jail and released on bail. Drugs — Santo Domingo Vargas-Sanabria, 25, of the 500 block of Palm St., Medford. Medford police arrested Vargas-Sanabria early Sunday on a charge of methamphetamine possession. He was lodged in Jackson County Jail and released on bail. Injury hit and run — Jeffrey Ray Elmore, 45, of the 2600 block of Hawaiian Ave., Medford. Medford police arrested Elmore Sunday on charges of injury hit and run, driving under the influence of alcohol, reckless driving, driving while suspended, and three counts of endangerment. He was lodged in Jackson County Jail on $27,000 bail.

Crime reports

Burglary — 400 block of Highland Dr., Medford. Medford police took a report of a burglary early Sunday in which cash, cigarettes and other times valued at $5,572 were stolen. Vehicle theft — 2600 Connell Ave., Medford. Medford police took a report Sunday of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle in which a 2005 Tan Nissan Altima, valued at $5,000, was stolen. The vehicle's license plate is Oregon 466BVD.
