Steve Marlow of Medford won the Oregon Bow Hunter's 3-D state championship in the senior traditional division June 19-20 in Bend.

Marlow was blind for nine years and still is in his left eye.

Basketball

Team Jones Soda won the U-15 boys division of the AAU West Coast National Championship Tournament in Sacramento, Calif., on Sunday.

The team, comprised of players from Southern Oregon and the Willamette Valley, defeated three teams from California to win its fourth tournament title of the season.

Phoenix's Tyler Dungannon and Dalton Richardson, Mazama's Dave Evans and Klamath Union's Alex Stork helped Team Jones Soda capture the title.

Bowling

Don Gregg rolled his first 300 game in the Reno Superbowl League on Thursday night at Roxy Ann Lanes.

Cheerleading

The Ashland High team fared well at the week-long National Cheerleader Association summer camp.

Ashland received a national championship bid, the Spirit Award, the Top Performance Team Winner Award and the Spirit Stick, which honors the most enthusiastic team.

All-American nominees were Chris Siegl, Chrystina Braught, Derrien Burns, Emily Cochran, Emily Hand, Olivia Bacon and Gracie Franckowiak.

Golf

Don Tilton used a 4-hybrid to drain a hole-in-one on the 12th hole at Stone Ridge during the Charter Media Invitational.

The feat was witnessed by playing partners Les Cohen, Jim Thompson and Mo Standi.
