Wilma Faye Weeks

Wilma Weeks went to be with the Lord on July 25, 2008. She was born on July 18, 1928. What a woman! She rebuilt car engines, drove across the country with her two young daughters, sewed anything including her daughter's wedding dress, remodeled and roofed houses, worked in the garden and her greenhouse, married the love of her life, lived in the desert where she could hear a butterfly's wings as it flew by and drove through all 50 states.

Left behind are her daughters, Connie Ronda and husband Jim Ronda of Medford Ore., with three grandsons, one granddaughter and 12 great-grandchildren, Kathy Wallace and husband Ron Wallace of Beaumont, Calif., with a grandson and granddaughter and three great-grandchildren; stepchildren John Weeks III of W. VA., Janis Anne Peterman of Springfield, Ohio, and Sharon Youngerman of Littleton, Colo. Nephews David Bendemire of Olympia, Wash., with six children and Gary Bendemire of Redlands, Calif., with two children. Twenty-nine of us were together for a planned birthday bash/reunion and although she was not able to be there we celebrated her life. Alzheimer's may have taken her from us but she left a lasting legacy. "Grandma yells" and at the same time loved us so much.

She was proceeded in death by her father and mother, Wilber and Emma Trumbo, sisters Betty Lou Lee and Jane Bendemire and husband Paul Bendemire, nephew and niece Daniel Bendemire and Becky Bendemire and the love of her life, John T. Weeks of Springfield, Ohio.

Good bye Mommy, Grandma and Aunt Faye.
