The 12th annual Thunderstruck Custom Bikes Xtreme Bike Show and Street Party begins at 11 a.m. in front of Habaneros Mexican Restaurant, 142 N. Front St. Registering a bike for the show costs $10, but the ogling is free.

Choppers modeled on those in the the 1969 Peter Fonda classic "Easy Rider" will be on display at the event.

Food vendors, music and a beer garden also are planned.

Proceeds from the bike show, vendors and other sources go to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Jackson and Josephine counties. In 2007, the Thunderstruck event earned $18,000 in a four-hour period for the clubs.
