Wilma Irene Knight

Our beloved Mother and Grandmother went to be with the Lord August 24, 2008. Wilma, 88, died suddenly while in rehab at Three Fountains.

Wilma was born July 8, 1920 to Ray and Effie Lockwood in Mound City, Kansas. On March 17, 1937 she married Willard Laverne Knight, who preceded her in death in 1990. In 1940 they moved to the Coquille area and lived there until 1987 when they moved to Medford. Wilma was a homemaker and enjoyed table games, crafts, reading, and being with family. She was involved in church activities all her life. She loved to help out at Youth Church camps, she taught Sunday School and Bible Studies. She was a member of Hope Christian Church in Central Point. She was also a member of the Mamie Rebekah Lodge in Coquille. She will always be remembered as the greatest Grandma in the world; one who accepted everyone into the family with unconditional love. She loved to laugh and had a wonderful sense of humor.

She was preceded in death by her sister Pauline Graham, and a granddaughter Sheila Knight. She is survived by her daughters, Joann (Patrick) Densmore, of Medford; Debbie (Dan) Zuspann, of Wasilla, Alaska; sons, Gene and Jon (Jennifer), of Medford; Chuck (Dalette), of Coos Bay; Larry (Terri), of Bandon; and Ken, of Moses Lake, WA. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren., her sister, Ruth Holbrook, of Coquille, and her brother, Bill Lockwood, of Whidbey Island WA. A memorial service for Wilma will be held August 28, 2008 at 1:00 pm at Hope Christian Church, 325 Oak Street in Central Point, Ore. Pastor Aaron Veach will officiate.
