Charles L. Sorensen

Charles "Chuck" Sorensen entered into rest at his home after a long battle with Parkinson's disease on Aug. 25, 2008. Born on May 28, 1932, in Sioux City, Ia., to Duke and Irene Windzer. Chuck enjoyed fishing, hunting, and being with his family. His outgoing personality and love for people will be forever missed.

Chuck is survived by his wife, Gloria "Jean" Helling. They settled in Oregon and married in 1973 after several years of dating, and spent a total of 41 years together. He is also survived by his brother Kenny Sorensen, (Roseburg); and their eight children, Vicki, (Colo.), Gil & Sue Helling, (Eagle Point), Linda & Gary Mack, (Medford), Ron and Lynn Sorensen, (Spokane), David Helling, (Germany), Bob Sorensen, (Jacksonville), Marc Sorensen, (Medford), Barb Jones (Central Point); 23 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.

Services will be held on Friday, Aug. 29, 2008, at 10 a.m. at Conger-Morris Funeral Chapel, 715 W. Main, Medford, Ore. Committal services will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, Ashland, Ore.
