Jason Edward Mendivil



Jason Edward Mendivil at 32 years of age quietly passed at 5:30 a.m. on August 20, 2008 at Rogue Valley Medical Center from a massive stroke related to a defect in his cartoid artery. Jason was loving and selfless and had an amazing compassion for others; he will continue this legacy after life by helping to better the lives of others through organ donation.



Jason was born July 15, 1976 in Los Angeles, Calif. He attended High School in Oregon and made the Rogue Valley his home for the last fourteen years. He is survived by his loving family: Amy Goins; his children Ella (6) and Zachary (4) Mendivil; and an unborn child expected to enter this world in early February; also his father Joseph Mendivil of Arizona; and brother and sister William and Tina Mendivil of Southern California; accompanied by a long list of close family and friends.



Jason enjoyed spending time with his family, playing basketball, golding, and bike riding. He was also an outdoor enthusiast, with an immense passion for life, and he cherished time with his family and friends. A private service was held on Saturday, August 23. A memorial fund for his young growing family has been set up through Washington Mutual; donations can be made to the Jason Mendivil Memorial Fund.
