Bill Baumann has been named vice president of information technology at outdoor gear and clothing retailer Recreational Equipment Inc.

Bill Baumann has been named vice president of information technology at outdoor gear and clothing retailer Recreational Equipment Inc.

Baumann was most recently the vice president of information technology with Musician's Friend and Guitar Center in Medford. He oversaw all IT operations of the company's online group, which has annual sales of more than $600 million, and helped the company rank in the top five by Internet Retailer for highest availability and speed in 2007.



Darrin Bolz has joined the Papé Kenworth staff in Medford. Bolz previously worked for Motor Power Equipment Co. in Billings, Mont.



Loretta A. Ascencio has been named regional director for the Alzheimer's Association of Southern Oregon, serving Jackson, Josephine, Klamath and Lake counties. Her primary responsibilities include raising Alzheimer's awareness, leading community workshops and serving as a local resource to individuals, families and caregivers coping with dementia. Michael Neron recently joined Ausland Builders' operations team as assistant project manager. Neron was previously a project manager and estimator with Eric Artner Construction, building medical, multi-family and hospitality facilities. Frank Dulcich, president of Pacific Seafood, was named Purveyor of the Year by the Oregon Restaurant Association at the organization's annual industry awards banquet on Sept. 14. Dulcich was recognized by the ORA for outstanding leadership, success and dedication to the food service industry. The Purveyor of the Year award is determined by the ORA's board of directors and is awarded to an individual who is active in the association, has made contributions to both the community and the industry and who has high business ethics.



Jen Clear has joined the Fifth Street Salon, 525 N. Fifth St., Jacksonville, offering therapeutic massage for relaxation and stress relief. Clear is a graduate of the Ashland Institute of Massage and has had additional training through the Institute for Massage and Spa therapy.
