An environmental activist from Australia will be in Ashland tonight for a showing of a short film about sustainability.

It's at 7:30 p.m. at Peace House, 543 S. Mountain Ave., Ashland, and it's open to the public.

Ruth Rosenhek, director of the Rainforest Information Centre in New South Wales, Australia, will show the film "Earth Spirit Action." It features five global activists who talk about sustainability.

"The film is a call to radical change." says Rosenhek. "Nothing short of a revolution in consciousness is needed alongside the true sustainable solutions we need to put in place at all levels of the political, economic and social arenas."

Rosenhek is touring the U.S. through September to share that message.

The evening will include a talk and discussion.
