COOS BAY — The Oregon Court of Appeals has sided with Jordan Cove Energy Project in a ruling that removed one more legal barrier for the liquefied natural gas terminal in Coos Bay.

The appeals court affirmed a state Land Use Board of Appeals decision that validated a Coos County zoning policy.

Eugene activist Randy Prince had argued the land use board failed to consider safety standards recommended by the Department of Land Conservation and Development.

The court affirmed the land use board decision without an opinion.
