Parts of a locomotive used by the Medford Corp. for more than 35 years is on display today at Medford's Railroad Park. This is the park's final day of operation for the season.

The park, where railroading clubs offer rides on small-scale trains, is open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Table Rock and Berrydale roads in Medford. There's no charge to enter, although the clubs accept donations.

The 4-spot, as the Medco locomotive is known, pulled logs out of the Upper Rogue to the company's Medford mill for more than 35 years. Its nickname came from the large number 4 at the front of the locomotive.
