Elsie Marie McCutcheon

On Oct. 20, 2008, our family lost a loving mother, grandmother, sister and best friend. Elsie passed away from natural causes at home in Trail, Ore. Born to Olive Pearl and Archie Lee Kitchen Sr., in Medford, Ore., she was raised on the ranch in Sterling Creek, just outside of Jacksonville, Ore. She is survived by her brother, Archie Lee Kitchen, of Brookings, Ore.; five children, Frances Lee Carter, Trudy Pearl Stewart, and Terry Ann Adams, of the Rogue Valley, Marilyn Kay Ferguson, of Madras, Ore., Susan Marie Waltz, of Rathdrum, Idaho; dear friend, Dolly Kitchen; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-greatgrandchildren, with two more on the way. Elsie was a very active member of the Shady Point Seventh day Adventist Church. She loved to sing and devote her time to the church. She was married to Newton Edward McCutcheon for 53 years. He preceded her in death on Oct. 13, 2005. She loved living on the river, flowers and gardening, antiques and second hand shopping. There will be a memorial service at Shady Point Seventh Day Adventist Church, 14611 Hwy 62, on Nov. 9, 2008, at 2:30 p.m., where in lieu of flowers, there will be a basket for sympathy cards, or anyone wishing to assist with expenses. A celebration of Elsie's life will immediately follow, where we will serve lunch. For more information please call Terry Adams at (541) 538-0676. Much love and thanks to all family members and friends.
