Police are seeking information about a skateboarder who spray painted 4-foot-tall letters in the smaller bowl at the Talent Skate Park Wednesday afternoon. At least a half dozen people watched the vandalism, which was recorded by a surveillance camera.

The skate park will be closed for a week, and anyone using it will be cited for trespass, said interim Police Chief Mike Moran. He hopes someone will come forward with information on the suspect.

A surveillance video shows a white male wearing black pants, a red T-shirt with white letters or numbers on the front and a black helmet spraying letters, which appear to spell "sage." The vandalism occurred betwen 4:10 and 4:40 p.m.

Police think the vandal is between 16 and 24 years old. He is of average build and 5 feet, 8 inches to 6 feet tall, Moran said.

Anyone with information should call 776-7206 and ask to speak with a Talent police officer.
