It's all about the costumes, candy and creepiness at Halloween and harvest events scheduled around the valley tonight.

In Ashland, the popular annual parade begins at 3:15 p.m. at the Ashland Library, 410 Siskiyou Blvd., and heads toward Lithia Park. It's technically for children, but adults get into the act too.

Afterward, kids and adults in costume are invited to trick-or-treat at the A Street Marketplace. Downtown streets will be closed for the event.

Also, the Ashland Elks plan a haunted house at the Main Street lodge beginning just after the parade, and the Ashland Y has a party planned.

In Medford, the city's parks department plans a Howl-O-Ween Party at the Santo Community Center. It's from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at the Santo Community Center, 701 N. Columbus Ave., and will include Halloween games, food, prizes and costumes.

Kids who don't want to trick or treat around the neighborhood can head to a number of other locations, including the YMCA or the Rogue Valley Mall in Medford.

Also, haunted houses and other events are planned in several areas.
