Robert Joseph O'Shea

The funeral mass for Robert Joseph O'Shea, will be held at — p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, 2008, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Medford, Ore. Interment will follow at the Eagle Point National Cemetery, Eagle Point, Ore. A visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, 2008, at Litwiller Simonsen Funeral Home, Ashland, Ore.

Mr. O'Shea was born Oct. 13, 1949, in the Bronx, N.Y., to Irish parents Lorraine and William O'Shea. He was raised in Long Island, N.Y., where he graduated from high school.

He was in the United States Army where he served overseas. Mr. O'Shea moved to Southern Oregon in 1976 from New York. For 19 years Bob was an active member of Narcotics Anonymous. For over 38 years, he worked in the telecommunications industry as a splicer. He was an avid bow hunter.

He is survived by three sons, Mike O'Shea, of Medford, Kyle O'Shea, of Eagle Point, and Kevin O'Shea, of Medford; three brothers, John O'Shea, of East Port, N.Y., Patrick O'Shea, of Mastic, N.Y., and Frank O'Shea, of Mastic Beach, N.Y.; a sister, Lorraine Glendenning; his companion, Kathy Kubecka, of Ashland; two grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews in New York.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, William.
